From Architecture to Art

I am a self-taught intuitive and ethereal abstract artist from Miami, FL. I primarily focus on original alcohol ink abstract paintings, and original abstract acrylic paintings. From a young age, I was captivated by the transformative nature of art—painting, drawing, and creating became my sanctuary, allowing my imagination to run wild. However, as I grew older, I opted for a seemingly "secure" path, pursuing a career in architecture while putting my artistic dreams on hold. Yet, as life unfolded, I encountered a profound and painful event that changed my world, leading me on a path of healing and self-discovery.

My Healing Journey

Guided by therapy and supported by a nurturing community, I embarked on the beautiful process of rebuilding my life. In this journey, I rediscovered the essence of who I truly am, reigniting a powerful yearning to return to art—a passion that had been dormant for far too long. This path of healing and authenticity has been instrumental, freeing me from the belief that my voice and presence are unworthy of recognition. I now understand that I deserve to embrace my true self and to fully occupy my space in the world!

My Art = My Voice

In my artistic practice, intuitive painting has become my voice, allowing me to express the depth of my emotions and thoughts. Through this approach, I wholeheartedly embrace the opportunity to tap into my inner child, exploring and articulating the truths that resonate within me. Painting becomes the channel through which I reconnect with neglected parts of myself, nurturing the "little me" that had been forgotten for too long. It breathes life back into the very core of my being, infusing a profound sense of vitality and authenticity into my creations.

I'm drawn to bright colors, metallic details, and flowing organic lines, and I like to incorporate them in most of my paintings as they convey a sense of joy and whimsy. I find that fluid mediums, especially alcohol inks, perfectly align with my style of painting, which often falls into the realms of abstract and ethereal art. The unpredictable nature of these mediums lends itself beautifully to my creative process, as each stroke and layer of color takes on a life of its own. Even when employing the same techniques, I am constantly met with different and mesmerizing results!
